夜猫子的救星 Osram Night Breaker

前天收到所买得parcel了，昨天把原装的Osram灯泡换掉，发出的颜色有点偏白噢 ，效果如图下:
Osram Night Breaker的价钱比Philips Xtreme Power的便宜很多, 所以先买套便宜的来try try 看

还没换上Night Breaker之前 (LOW BEAM)

换上 Osram Night Breaker之后 (LOW BEAM罢了) 。开上High Beam效果一流，顶啊! 不错，要去买一套Philips Xtreme Power来玩玩下。

AUGUST 2009 UPDATE

After 5 months of usage(12-13k mileage only), finally it gave up, such a short lifespan is out of my expectation..

Yesterday, quickly went to accesories shop to get replacement H4 bulb, cost me only rm8 each...hehe, i can buy at least 7-8set of OEM bulb with that kind of price.

My next try gonna be PHILIPS..., No more OSRAM, sorry ! >_<

Here's the comparison between oem normal bulb(RIGHT) vs Osram NB(LEFT). Notice the colour output..NB color temperature is cooler.

Don't be fooled by the title, my post has nothing to do with this SLL, super leng lui above, just purposely put da pic as teaser picture..LoL
Ok, back to the topic, here's some review on FeRoDo ZeRo brake pad which advertised as pad that can stand on higher heat . See the pictures how i Cooked the brakes... :) Oopps, it is damn hot..
Here's history my for ride,
0-10000km, using Bosch genuine asbestor pad. It is OEM from local manufacturer(MINTYE), no longer import from German made BOSCH. The german made cost rm3xx for a front pair, i know it is little bit overkill for Proton owners, i think that's the reason Proton has decided to localized the item.

10000-20000km, FeRoDo Zero. I bought this because of highly recommend from G2 owners, but quality is a big let down, and not really perform in high heat.
Pros of FeRoDo ZeRo
- it bites during hot
- slighly less dusty compare to asbestor pad

Cons
- noisy during cool
- screeching noise
- the worst is overheat..see the picture below how the edge worn and tear off...OH MY GOD..
Everytime i go downhill and hard braking, the metal burning smell intrude into the cabin..YEAKSS!! I cooked it..

20000-current km, replaced with BenDix CT General Titanium stripe

FeRoDo Zero , BenDix Titanium Stripe bottom left for(Waja) and bottom right for (PerSona)


A fresh brake pad should have 0.9-1cm thickness


After 10k km usage, left 6-6.5cm thickness

From Zero to Hundred and Hundred to Zero trial run

Sunday afternoon leisure drive
I got nothing better to do so decided to take my ride gone through a series of sprint test, including Zero-to-Hundred, follow by Hundred-to-Zero kmh test. After this, i went to cruise along Teluk Bahand dam area.

Test car is the beloved CamPro 1.6 auto tranny without IAFM which churns out 110ps, 148 of torque. Quite a decent figure for 1.6l sedan but with the weight of more than 1.2tons, the 0-100kmh is a little bit let down, not fast enough..12.5-13secs is the best time i got.

At the end of the day, close-up inspect on the front tyre, it has some shallow cuts..OOUCHH !!Now you know why i replace new set of donut(tyre) every 20k km or everyyear. This is the price you need to paid for stunt driving :p

洗地 受伤了

撞毁了后面灯和割花后面防撞杆。没关系，看看图下怎样翻新和打磨。

1) 先把表面洗车干净


2) 准备好所需的器材和材料


3)首先现用AutoGlym Paint Renovator compound打磨。倒一点cream在海绵




开始polish, 看看海绵，蓝色的漆被磨起来了，清楚了七七八八，但是表面蒙dee...


4) 接下来就是使用比较细腻的polish膏(Meguiars ScratchX) 来去除AutoGlym Paint Renovator的蒙蒙痕迹。



又再polish啦。。。割花的痕迹已经被除去。。。


5)Meguiars Deep Crystal Step 1 Paint Cleaner来抹一抹表面
还是不够满意，bumper有点脱漆，黑黑的斑点。所以决定去买touch up paint来补。本田的颜色代号如下:

H15 NH700M ALABASTER SILVER

刚好今天是星期日五金店没开门，白走一趟了。 没关系，颜色的差别不是很多，决定使用了上次买给普腾笨舒娜用的Irredescent White touch up paint 来修补。

6) 还未上漆前，先把表面的polish油洗掉。拿了洗碗剂(SunLight)来洗车。


7) 修补的画笔最好采用最细腻的，2mm的刚刚好。



8) 完工了，修补好了。嘿嘿,图下
